Istighfar — Seeking Forgiveness from Allah

Istighfar — Seeking Forgiveness from Allah

Istighfar — seeking Allah's forgiveness — was on the Prophet's ﷺ tongue more than seventy times a day, despite his sins being forgiven. It cleanses the heart, opens provision, and relieves anxiety.
Its highest form is Sayyid al-Istighfar: whoever recites it in the morning or evening with firm conviction and dies that day is promised Paradise (Bukhari 6306).

Sayyid al-Istighfar

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ
Allaahumma anta rabbee laa ilaaha illaa anta, khalaqtanee wa anaa 'abduk.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant.
